“PATTERN - Impart, Transmit, Convey” at Schaller Gallery
“When I look at pots, I see so many patterns - within a single piece, patterns between different makers’ pieces and then through a maker's ongoing output. The patterns, marks, forms, placement of attachments, angles of handles start to become a language or dialect that we can read and understand. We can read a maker's pieces and learn about them, through their work they have the ability to Impart, Transmit and Convey information to us that we understand. I find that exciting!”
